Joseph R. Hartman, 81, Will Be Dearly Missed

Photo of Joseph R. Hartman oseph R. Hartman, age 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday February 1, 2024 at O’Neill Healthcare, North Ridgeville.

He was born in Cleveland. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 20 years. He previously lived in Columbus and Sagamore Hills.

Joseph was a salesperson for Coke Cola for 41years, retiring in 2004.

He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was an active member of St. Peter Church where he was an adult server and was active with the Men’s breakfast. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 7970 and a 4th degree Sir Knight with Fr. Vincent Capodanno Assembly 3019. He also went through the Cursillo, number 168.

He is survived by his son, Joseph R. (Debbie) Hartman of Streetsboro, daughter, Kathleen (Tom) Hermensky of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Megan (Ryan Bliss) Hermensky, Caitlin (Connor) Ceneviva & Ethan Hermensky; sister, Maryann Toth of Broadview Heights, and brother-in-law Bob Hallahan.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra this past September, of whom he married Feb. 1, 1964, father, Joseph F. Hartman, mother, Anna H. (nee Finkey) Hartman, and sister, Carol Hallahan and brother-in-law Nora Marie Ceneviva.

The family will receive friends 2-5 PM Sunday Feb. 4, 2024 at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville, where the Knights of Columbus will lead a rosary at 4:30 PM. A prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Church. Rev. Robert Franco, Pastor will be the celebrant. The mass will be live stream at www.stperternr.org

Private burial will take place in the St. Peter's Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
