Debra L. Woods, 65, Enjoyed Spending Time with Family and Friends

Debbie was born in Lorain on January 8, 1959; a graduate of Lorain High School, she had been employed in the dietary and housekeeping departments of several area nursing homes including Golden Acres in Amherst.

A past member of Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dining out, and playing board and card games. She also liked watching television and movies with a special interest in horror stories. The scarier, the better.

She is survived by her son Greg of Lorain, brother Mark Woods (Mildalia) also of Lorain, one niece, one nephew, three great nieces and one great nephew.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father Herbert Woods in 1992, mother Diane Woods (nee Baker) in 2023, and brother Chris Woods in 2014.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral her services at 7:30 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Alan Jenkins, Pastor of Mercy Mission will officiate. Burial will take place Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Attendees are requested to gather along the entry boulevard of the cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
