Nancy L. Schuster, 76, LPN

Photo of Nancy L. Schuster Nancy L. Schuster, 76, (nee Engel) of Lorain passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph following a long illness.

Mrs. Schuster was born in Lorain on January 26, 1935, daughter of the late Donald and Ellene (nee Sheridan) Engel. She was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1953. She then graduated from the St. Joseph School of Nursing as a licensed practical nurse.

She retired from the Lorain County Board of Elections following 15 years service. Previously, she worked at Good Samaritan Nursing Home and the former St. Joseph Hospital.

Mrs. Schuster attended the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain.

She enjoyed watching the Cavs but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid bowler and loved to crotchet and sew.

She is survived by daughters Candace (Glen) Muskovich of Wakeman, Dianne Brehm of Amherst, Tami (Mark) Goodman of Lorain, sons John Schuster of Lorain, Donald (Linda) Findley of Amherst, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Schuster in 2009, and her son Ronald Schuster in 2007.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052.

Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, with Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Schuster will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Hospice, c/o Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
