Mary Irene Eiden, 85, Enjoyed Ceramics and Geniology

Mary Irene Eiden (nee Mitchell), 85, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, November 7, 2005 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Born in Lorain on August 3, 1920, she moved to Norwalk 9 years ago. She was a 1938 Graduate of Lorain High School.

She worked as a precision machinist at numerous defense plants during WW2 and again during the 1960's and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church in Lorain. Her hobbies included ceramics, geniology, sewing, Knitting, reading, poetry, and crossword puzzles She traveled extensivaly through the east and midwest in her geneological pursuits.

Survivors include her sons Larry M. (Rosemary) Eiden of Chesterton, Indiana Rev. Mr. Gregg (Jane) Eiden of Columbus, OH John (Mary Jane LaLonde) Eiden of Norwalk; daughter Phyllis Meyers of El Segundo, CA; 9 grandchildren Lawrence S., Michelle, Sharon, Stephanie, Nicole, Pat, Corey Eiden, & Laurel, and Jeff Meyers; 7 great grand Lawrence Martin Eiden II, Willian Paul Eiden, Justice Owen Eiden, Liberty Rose Eiden, Freedon Wyatt Eiden Chase Thomas Tinker, Dominic Beatty Eiden; brother Paul Mitchell of Elyria; numerous neices and nephews; a friend Mary Louise Landis of Amherst.

She was preceded by her husband Lawrence F. Eiden in 1992; brothers John and Thomas Robert Mitche; sister Clara Margaret Mitchell; parents John and Clara (Moesser) Mitchell;

Visitation will be held at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home 2920Broadway Lorain, OH on Friday, November 11, 2005 from 4 to 8 PM and Saturday from 9 to 10 AM Parish Rosary Friday 7 PM . Funeral services will be Saturday 10 AM prayers in the Funeral home followed by 10:30 AM Mass at St. Joseph Church in Lorain with Fr. Denis St. Marie officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Lorain
