September 22, 2019 — Friends of Senior Citizens (FOSC) in conjunction with the is sponsoring the 14th Annual Senior Living Fair on Saturday, October 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event will be held again at the JVS 15181 OH-58 in Oberlin.

The Senior Living Fair provides senior citizens, family and caregivers with the information, resources and services needed to maintain healthy and independent living in Lorain County. A FREE lunch is available to seniors 60 years of age and older and is sponsored by the Lorain County Prosecutors Office "Project Outreach" program. Entertainment during lunch will be 1976 JVS Alum, Ken "KK Farnsworth" on acoustic guitar.

FOSC is excited to announce that the JVS and students will provide demonstrations throughout the school as well as having their beautiful Mum's for sale. The JVS is also hosting a JVS Alumni Picnic beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Seniors may enter to win a lift chair as well as many other great door prizes. Door prizes are pulled every 15 minutes during the event but you must be in attendance to win your prize. The lift chair will be the last door prize drawn. Give-aways are plentiful and are located throughout the Fair.

Back by popular demand, Gregg Mazurek will be offering FREE Antique Appraisals with a limit of 3 items per person. Be sure and take advantage of this unique opportunity!

Life flight will be on site as well as local safety service organizations. Wellington Fire Department will be conducting mini safety presentations as well as have equipment on site for viewing. Blood pressures will be taken by the South Lorain County Ambulance District and the Lorain County Sheriff's Department will provide information on ID and Theft Protection.

Among the many great resources available at this event, the Veterans Department will be onsite to provide information and assistance for Veterans with completing the paperwork associated with healthcare and enrollment.

Don't forget to stop by and get free ice cream compliments of , bring or take a book or puzzle at the Book and Puzzle Swap and make time for a game or two of Bingo. Transportation from your car to the building is available compliments of and the JVS is a handicap friendly building.
