George Husty III, 75, Enjoyed Sports, Especially Horse Racing

George was born in Fairmont, West Virginia in September 14, 1947 to the late George and Elizabeth (Girardi) Husty Jr.

He was a lifelong Lorain resident, graduating from Admiral King High School in 1965. He also attended Kent State University for 4 years.

George worked at U.S. Steel for 50 years retiring in 2020. He was an active United Steel Workers Local 1104 member and officer throughout his 50 years of service.

George was a free spirit who lived his life his way. He enjoyed sports, especially horse racing. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends, Bingo and visiting racetracks and casinos all over the country. He was good at trivia. His friends frequently relied on him for the answers.

He loved his family, especially his mother and father. He was a wonderful friend, brother, uncle, and cousin who was loved by all.

He is survived by his sister Annette Sexstella (Bob) and Mary Renner (George). His nephews Ryan Sexstella (Kryssy), Eric Sexstella (Vicki), his niece Eve Alberti (Mark), great nieces Alexxis and Paige Sexstella, great nephews Tyler and Brayden Alberti.

Is family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164 from 9 until 11 AM funeral service. Rev. Father Neil G. Walters, Pastor of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
