David Allen Koziura, 59, Enjoyed Fishing and Bowling

Photo of David Allen Koziura David Allen Koziura, 59, of Lorain passed away on May 30, 2020 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Lorain following a brief Illness.

He was born in Lorain March 6, 1961 to Joseph and Mary (nee Simonic) Koziura.

David retired from the Ohio Turnpike Amherst Maintenance Building after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, yard work, gardening, cars, sports, coffee, music, and loved dancing. Most of all David loved to spend his time with his family and friends. He was always there to help or have fun. David was a loving husband; father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be forever missed.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Susan Koziura (nee Tony); children Joseph A. Koziura and Erin Koziura; grandson Jacob Galvan; brothers Joseph (Kitti), Walter (Patty), Richard, and Ronald (Judy) Koziura; and sisters, Marilyn (Ray) Bombac, Louise Shearer, Judy (Jim) Hardesty, Joyce (Frank) Nedveski, and Diane (Mike) Swartz.

Other than his parents, David was preceded by his brother Stanley Koziura.

A memorial celebration of his life will be at Church of the Open Door 43275 Telegraph Road, Elyria, Monday, June 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Jason Russ officiating. Masks and social distancing are required.
