Rick Hall, 55, Multi-Talented in Both Art and Music

Photo of Rick Hall Rick Daniel Hall, 55, of Kileen, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 24 2016 in Scott & White Memorial Hospital, Temple following a short illness.

He was born October 10, 1960 in Lorain. He was a 1979 graduate of Lorain High School. Rick was a former employee of Lorain's Standard Pipe Company where he worked alongside his father. He attended Cleveland State University, earning his degree in Graphic Design.

Rick was multi-talented in both art and music. He was a singer songwriter and entertainer, lead guitar and vocalist, played the harmonica, piano, drums and bass. He played in several bands over his life time. Rick loved to design his bands logos and promotional posters. He also painted several murals, sketched often, enjoyed screen printing and air brushing. He always enjoyed talking about music and art, and even wrote articles for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Rick had many friends. He always made them laugh and left a smile on everyone's face he spent time with. At family gatherings he was the life of the party. Many knew him by different names such as husband, grandpa, cousin, son, grandson and friend, though most referred to him as brother.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 25 years, Erin Hall (née Shannon) of Kileen; son Adam Hall of Lorain; daughter Michelle Neal of Vermilion; sisters Joyce Hall Hicks of Kansas, Janet Hall Denny of Arizona, Angel Hall Bower of Parma and Beth Bechhold of Lorain; brother Shawn Perry Vermilion and five grandchildren.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Mitchel and Lucy Hall (née Carroll)

His family will receive friends Thursday, June 2nd from 5 to 9 PM in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Where his funeral service will be Friday at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
