Donald Ray Miller, 65, Dispacter

Donald Ray Miller, 65 of Vermilion, died Thursday, October 24, 2002 in EMH Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

He was born May 16, 1937 in Lorain and had been a life long resident of Vermilion.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He worked for E & L Transport Company as a dispatcher for 30 years.

He was a member of Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Vermilion. He was a member of Ely Lodge #424 Vermilion. He graduated from Vermilion High School and Oberlin Business School and enjoyed golf and bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary A. (nee Leska) and his mother, Ruth Miller Ruetenik (nee Kishman) of Vermilion.

Preceding him in death were his father, Ray Miller and a brother, Robert in 1962.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 27th from 4-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct Military Honors at 7 p.m. followed by a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. conducted by Ely Lodge #424.

Funeral services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Monday, October 28, 2002 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend John D. Hood, pastor of Evangelical and Reformed Church in Vermilion, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
