Thomas J. Mihuta, 51, of Sheffield Township, died on Monday, October 21, 2002, at his residence, following a sudden illness.

He was born on December 12, 1950 in Lorain, where he has lived all his life.

He graduated from Lorain High School in 1969 and attended Lorain Community College.

Thomas was employed as a release analyst at Lorain Works US Steel/now RTI for 32 years. He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Lorain, member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1104 and enjoyed boating, golfing, fishing, playing pool, woodworking, working with cars, and helping other people.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years: Sandra (nee Wilson) Mihuta, mother: Margaret (nee Daraby) Mihuta, of Lorain and sister: Patricia Mihuta of Lorain.

He is preceded in death by his father: John Mihuta Jr. in 1952 and uncle: George Daraby.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 24, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Family Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Thomas Smith, pastor of St. John Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
