George I. Johnson Jr., 47, Technician
George I. Johnson, Jr., 47, of Mt. Clemons, MI, formerly of Lorain, died Monday, October 21, 2002 at St. Joseph West Hospital, MI, following a sudden illness.He was born July 21, 1955 in Lorain. He lived in Alaska for 10 years fulfilling a life long dream before moving to Michigan.
He graduated from Admiral King High School in 1973.
He served four years in the United State Navy as a Hull Technician with the rank of HT3. He was employed as a master layout technician with Hutchinson Mechani9cal in Mt. Clemons, MI.
George enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping and was an adventurer at heart.
He is survived by his 3 brothers, Dave of Mt. Clemons, MI, Larry of Wakeman, MI, Allan of Lorain; sister Mary of Lorain; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Retha (nee Dorinski) Johnson and brother Dale.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain where services will be held at 7 p.m. that evening.
