Edward Hanko, 65, Parishioner
Edward Hanko, died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Nursing Center (Avon) following an extended illness. He was born in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the area.He was a parishioner of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church - Lorain.
Mr. Hanko is survived by his aunt: Helen Papp of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his parents: John A. (1975) and Ethel (nee Kovacs) Hanko (1992), and by his brother: John R. Hanko in 1994.
Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until time of services at 9:30 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway - Lorain. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ladislaus Catholic Church - 1412 East 29th Street. The Rev. Patrick Shields, administrator of St. Ladislaus Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery - Lorain.
