Narcan Clinics - Now by Appointment!

January 22, 2016 — Project DAWN is an overdose education and naxalone distribution program. Naxalone is a medication that can reverse an overdose caused by an opioid drug. When administered, it blocks the drug's effects on the brain and restores breathing. Nasal naxalone is available for parents, partners, and all other persons interested in preventing an overdose of a loved one.

Previously, naxalone was only available for distribution at specific times and places. Recently, the became a permanent distribution site, and can distribute kits and educate interested persons during all open hours.

You can pick up a kit from:

Lorain County General Health District
9880 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH

Kits are available weekdays (excluding holidays) between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Appointments are appreciated; please call 440-322-6367. Please allow 20 minutes for your visit in order to receive education.
