November 13, 2018 — Dr. Suzanne Jenkins is the owner of , a practice located in Oberlin, Ohio. As a board-certified gynecologist, Suzanne was qualified to take matters into her own hands and provide comprehensive women's healthcare to the community.

Suzanne typically spends about an hour or longer with each of the clients she meets. She feels that it is important to have meaningful and genuine conversations that can help her understand their symptoms, as well as figuring out the most effective ways to address them. Suzanne's career path was not always clear growing up.

"I did not always know that I wanted to be a doctor. I think I always knew that I wanted to help people, but I wasn't quite sure how," she said.

After entering college and taking classes within the health field, Suzanne decided that becoming a doctor was the best way to fulfill her dream of helping others. She had a realization that her own personal habits and practices could be passed along to her patients.

"During my training, I found that I was also very interested, from a personal standpoint, in trying to be as natural as possible. So in my own life, I would try to eat very clean, minimize excess exposure to chemicals and medications if I didn't have to take them. I found that if that's what I was doing for myself because that's what I thought was best for myself and my family, then shouldn't I be bringing that to my patients?"

Once Suzanne decided it was in her best interest to start new gynecology practice, she had to figure out where to locate the business.

"We chose to locate here in Oberlin, in Lorain County, because we were just drawn to the very vibrant spirit of the downtown area," she said. "My husband and I chose to live here in Oberlin, [and] we really wanted to be part of the community, so we decided to open the practice in the community that we lived in."

Suzanne also expressed that her background includes working with younger people, especially during her training. She enjoys treating students as patients and suggests that although they learn a lot from her, she also learns from interacting with them as well. Despite this, Suzanne made it clear that Whole Woman Holistic Gynecology treats women of all ages.

"We treat women throughout the life cycle. We treat everyone from teenagers up through the end of life. So all the way through from your teenage years: contraception, birth control. And then when you decide you want to get pregnant: fertility optimization, supporting natural health as you get into that stage. And then later on through menopause: the menopausal transition and then later into the wisdom years. So we treat everyone, all women, sort of regardless of where you are in life."
