September 22, 2009 --
Your invited to attend a Benefit Steak Fry for Tony Rigsby at Elyria Amvets (Website | Profile) 11087 Middle Ave. Elyria on Sept. 26, 2009 at 5 p.m. Enjoy food, beer, music and silent auction. Tickets are $20.
Tony Rigsby was involved in an accident while cutting firewood with a chainsaw. His medical bills are well over $300,000 at this point. Also, Tony's wife, Crista has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm in 2008 and is in the process of getting a second opinion.
In today's day and age of insurance companies denying coverage, Tony and Crista most likely will not be able to obtain medical coverage for themselves if their current provider drops them because the insurance companies have labeled them uninsurable.
The goal of the fund raiser is raise money to help Tony and his family with the mounting medical bills from the accident, doctor appointments, and the follow up surgeries.
Tony and Crista have been active in both the Amherst and Vermilion areas. Tony has been coaching Baseball and Basketball teams for almost 10 years now. They have 3 young children all of which are in the Vermilion School System (Website | Profile).
