Current Secondary Project

Spay/Neuter Programs in Lorain County

We realize that our long term goal to make our county "no-kill" for dogs and cats can only occur with aggressive spay and neuter programs.

We plan to work with county officials and veterinarians to make low cost spay and neuter procedures more available and to be used more frequently. Click here to read about the spay and neuter program now offered by the county kennel.

We already have a program in place via a joint effort with one of our member groups (DOGSS) to educate elementary students in Lorain County on animal care and the need to spay and neuter.

We have been assisting Operation PetFix Northeast Ohio in their efforts with their mobile spay/neuter van. This is a great benefit to Lorain County and we would like more volunteers to help us during weekday mornings.
