Need Help with Medicare Prescription Drug Costs?

Congressman Sherrod Brown will host three public meetings to discuss Medicare Part D, the Medicare prescription drug program. Representatives from the Social Security Administration and Palmetto GBA (Government Benefits Administrator) will be available to give facts about the program, which is will go into effect in January 2006. Enrollment for the program begins in November.
Area seniors who have limited income and resources may be eligible for assistance in paying for the monthly premiums, deductibles and co-payments under this prescription drug program.
Individuals who think they may qualify for the 'extra help' are encouraged to complete an application at either location. Documents that may help constituents prepare include: bank account statements, tax returns, payroll slips, most recent Social Security benefits award letters, Railroad Retirement income, Veterans Benefits, pensions and annuities; and the cash and face value of any life insurance policies.
