55.1 Examination of Probate Records
- The general records of the Court shall be subject to inspection or shall be open for
inspection by the public during the regular hours of the Court.
- Original wills and bonds may be inspected only upon written application to the Court
and by approval of the Court. Such inspection shall be in the presence of a Deputy Clerk.
Without written application, attorneys in Lorain County, Ohio, by virtue of being officers
of the Court, may inspect such records in the presence of a Deputy Clerk of Court.
- Attorneys are permitted to withdraw files of this Court upon completion of a receipt
form for the same at the time of withdrawal. All files withdrawn must be returned within
five (5) working days.
