Helen Stanziano, 76, Enjoyed Antiques & Ceramics

Photo of Helen Stanziano Helen “Toots” Stanziano, (nee Kopronica), of Amherst, passed away on Friday December 6, 2013 at the age of 76.

She was born in Lorain on May 2, 1937.

Helen attended St. Mary’s High School and Lorain Business College. On September 3, 1955 she married Ted Stanziano, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2011. Helen and Ted were the owners of T-N-T Antiques and House of Flowers for twenty-eight years.

Helen was a member of Moose Lodge # 925 in New Port Richey, Florida and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 637 Auxiliary in Lorain. She enjoyed antiques, bowling, ceramics, cake decorating, and many trips to Las Vegas.

She is survived by her loving children Ted (Laura) Stanziano, Terri (Tom) Gardner, Tami (Dave) Wyler, and Tanya (Eric) Maier along with many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, she leaves brothers Albert Kopronica, Richard Kopronica, and Ronald (Sharon) Kopronica along with many nieces and nephews who will all dearly miss her.

In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parent Joseph and Mary (nee Jankovic) Kopronica, by brothers Joseph, John, James, William, and Frank Kopronica, and by sisters Katherine Kelling and Mary Trnian.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.

Funeral services will begin with closing prayers there on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
