Richard G. Kish, 72, An avid lake fisherman

Richard G. Kish, age 72, of Lorain, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the Center Ridge Nursing Home in North Ridgeville following an extended illness.

He was born July 31, 1931 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident of the city.

Mr. Kish was a veteran of the United States Army; following his separation from the military, he joined the American Crucible Company of Lorain, and was employed by the firm as a general maintenance coordinator; he retired after 20 years of service.

A parishioner of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain, he was an avid lake fisherman.

Richard is survived by his wife: Margaret R. Kish (nee Cherney); brothers: Frank Kish of Elyria, Jerry Kish of Holiday, Florida, and James Pager of Missouri; and a sister: Beverly Lorens of Amherst.

He was preceded in death by his son: Richard “Billy” Kish in 1976; his parents: Frank and Katherine Kish; a brother: George Kay Pager.

Friends are asked to gather at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church; 1305 E. Erie Ave, in Lorain at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2004 for the celebration of his funeral mass. The Reverend Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., pastor on Saint Anthony of Padua parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, Lorain.
