Fields UM Church To Provide New Contemporary Service
Michael Kelley, Fields United Methodist Church
September 11, 2009 --
The congregation of Fields United Methodist Church (Website | Profile) invites you to their new Contemporary Service beginning Sunday, Sept. 13th, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. in the church Fellowship Hall.
The Contemporary Service has been created to compliment the two existing Traditional Services, one at 8:30 a.m., and the other at 11 a.m. The new Contemporary Service has been created to touch your heart, stir your emotions, stimulate your thinking, and usher you into the presence of God who is rooting for you!
There is an excellent nursery and Sunday school program for your children at the same time as the service. Fields UM Church is located at 34077 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville, or on the web at www.fieldsumc.org.
Fields UMC is also introducing the newest staff member and Worship Leader for the Contemporary Service, Mr. Larry Kane. In 1988 Larry had a dramatic encounter with Jesus Christ and began writing Gospel and Christian rock music. He introduced thousands of diners to songs about the Lord peppered between other music in dinner and dance performances on local river tours. During the years which followed he began working for the Master’s Hand Prison Ministry and led worship in correctional facilities in a four state area as well as local Juvenile Correctional facilities, as well as playing gospel shows in area nursing homes. He has served as worship leader in two churches, West park Evangelical friends, and Jesus Speaks Church. He continues to write and record Christian music. Pastor James McClaren will also provide the message during the new Contemporary Service.
