MO, you are correct that would be the ideal way but what do you think the reality of committees working on these items and bringing them forth for legislation is? Or more precisely how would they be reshaped into something that may not resemble the original intent.
Rek, I would support elected boards but council also has to really look at the powers of the BZA today and bring forth legislation on what works and what does not.
Heck, there are things in that plan that I don’t believe in or should be tweaked. This all comes to building consensus and doing what the people have suggested.
During the last campaign there was little mention of some of these very important issues communicated to the electorate, issues other than “smart growth” whatever that is, are not brought forward and discussed in the media to any degree or at town halls etc…
