LMHA-RAW event
4/8 -- On Friday, July 22nd, 2011 between 11:00 AM – 4:00Pm the (RAW) Resident Area Watch group of the Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority has invited all of our Block Watch Captain/Co-Captains to this training/picnic event. This meet and greet event will be held at the Kennedy Plaza gazebo. They will have speakers from the Lorain Police Dept & Fire Dept. This would be a great opportunity to meet the people we work hand in hand with for neighborhood safety. So, please mark your calendars. They need a head count from us. So they can plan accordingly. I know July is long way off, but if you think you could attend let me know right away either by email dkillinger@hotmail.com or phone 440-429-2023.

Prayer & Candlelight Vigil
3/7 -- A Prayer & Candlelight Vigil is scheduled for Friday, March 11, 2011 for Jason Smith. It will be held at 511 W. 17th Street in Lorain at 5:00pm. Jason Smith was murdered recently and this is a good opportunity to show support for the family and friends and to show we are not going to let the criminal element continue to reek havoc in our neighborhoods. This vigil is sponsored by Interfaith Ministries and Dot.com Ministries. The Lorain Neighborhood Watch program has been asked to participate. Any Block Watch Captain needing a Lorain Neighborhood Watch t-shirt, please let me know. All captains are encouraged to attend.
