Local Government Services Collaboration Project Receives Grant Funding

11/4 -- The LLC Class of 2008's Local Government Services Collaboration Project was born out of a desire to see improved collaboration between local governments. This project will now become a reality as Lorain County was one of only 15 communities statewide to be awarded a grant by the Ohio Department of Development. The grant will help to advance Lorain County's intergovernmental collaboration by examining issues like shared resources and collective purchasing.

Lorain County Beautiful Recognizes LLC Class of 2008 Project

11/3 -- The Class of 2008 built an outdoor shelter for the Haven Center/Neighborhood House Association. The structure required the group to coordinate the services of many experts and also relied upon the sweat equity of the Class members. The residents of the homeless shelter now have an outside location to gather. The shelter was nominated for a Lorain County Beautiful Award. Nouie Nodal, Nancy Ostrander, David Graves, Karen Davis and Gail Stumphauzer were present when the project recieved honorable mention at the annual banquet. Congratulations to the Class of 2008 for this wonderful project that will make a difference for many years to come.

Class of '09 Travels to Youngstown State University

11/3 -- The 2009 Leadership Class took part in the NEO Regional Day V on Thursday, October 30th. Nearly 400 community leaders had the chance to address and learn more about Northeast Ohio's assets, challenges and newest initiatives.

Community Health Partners Announces 1000 Voices Initiative

10/27 -- Our national healthcare system is facing a time of change and challenge. The impact of these national issues is being felt right here in our area. In an effort to stay ahead of these changes and ensure the highest quality care for patients, Community Health Partners (CHP) President Ed Oley (LLC ’99) has announced an innovative initiative, a program called “1000 Voices”, to quickly take the pulse of the community on key healthcare topics.
