Come Enjoy the ‘Taste of the Culinary Academy’
stuffed mushrooms, chicken salad baguettes, baked brie and pasta broccolini; fresh baked breads; a variety of prepared salads; entrees which may include roast pork with peach sauce, roast beef with port wine sauce, sautéed chicken breast, roast lamb and baked salmon; and assorted desserts of tarts, cakes and pies. Beverages are included. Reservations can be made by calling the JVS at (440) 774-1051 or 986-6601. Costs for adults are $9.00, while children 4-12 years are $6.00. In addition, donations will be accepted for Hurricane Relief. ALSO NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: The Baking and Pastry Café is staffed by students in the Bakery & Pastry Arts Program and managed by program instructor, Chef Chris Moore. Their menu includes delectable offerings such as pies, cheesecakes, tortes, cookies and breads. The Café is open to the public most Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The Buckeye Room is a full-service restaurant staffed by senior students in the nationally recognized Culinary Academy. Managed by Chef Tim Michitsch and Maurina Driscoll, the restaurant's menu offers mouth-watering entrees at a price you can't beat. The Buckeye Room is open to the public for lunch - Tuesday through Thursday, 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be placed with the JVS telephone operator. Certified by the American Culinary Federation, the Culinary Academy is a school-within-a-school that is aligned with industry standards, has a state-of-the-art facility, and is coordinated by a team of chefs and academic teachers. Note: Please call to ensure the restaurant and bakery are open – those establishments sometimes close due to inclement weather or student competitions.
