Local Radio Stations Hosting Bowl-A-Thon to Benefit 'Wigs for Kids'

On Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, “Gold Country” WOBL AM 1320 (Website | Profile) and “Kool Kat Oldies” WDLW 1380 AM (Website | Profile) will host a Bowl-A-Thon to benefit “Wigs for Kids”. This event will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at North Coast Shoreway Lanes (Profile), 4209 Ivanhoe Avenue, Shoreway Shopping Center in Sheffield Lake, Ohio.
We are hoping this event will help us create awareness and raise funds for “Wigs for Kids”. There are currently three children in Lorain County that have requested wigs from “Wigs for Kids”. All funds collected in Lorain County will stay in Lorain County.
The cost to bowl is only $10 and includes 3 games, shoes rental, pizza and beverages. Bowlers are asked to solicit sponsors to raise funds for “Wigs for Kids”.
Prizes will be awarded for most money donated and the bowler with the most sponsors. The event will also host a 50/50 raffle.
“Wiggin’ Out With Johnny Z” T-shirts will be available for purchase (or order) for only $10 with 100% of the proceeds to benefit “Wigs for Kids”.
