NBA FIT / WNBA FIT Challenge & Harrison Hot Shot Competitions

The NBA FIT/WNBA FIT Challenge, sponsored by SINGULAIR, is a first ever program which boys and girls compete separately in 3 levels of competition, with 32 participants advancing to FIT Challenge Regional Competitions and 16 participants advancing to the FIT Challenge National Finals at NBA All-Star 2010 weekend in Dallas, Texas, Feb. 12 - 14th, 2009.
The FIT Challenge is free for young boys and girls age 14 and younger across the country. The program is intended to encourage active youth participation and emphasize the "Fun" element of fitness and physical activity. Basketball experience/skills not required to do well in FIT Challenge.
Harrison Cultural Community Centre (Profile) will also have its first ever Hot Shot Competitions on the same day of the FIT Competition. Harrison Hot Shot Competitions consists of 3 events: Hot Shots, Foul Shots and Long Shots, which will be held Nov. 14th, 2009 at The Spartan Building (Profile) (formerly Lorain Catholic High School) from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
