This is the economy that Bush inherited from the Democrats and Clinton: A stock market that was tumbling to a 50%%%% drop, unemployment that skyrocketed from 4.25%%%% to almost 8%%%%. Businesses folding left and right. A recession. NAFTA, The China Trade Agreement, CAFTA. The Community Reivestment Act revisions. Democrats telling us that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack were just fine financially when in reality they were about to go bust and drive our economy into the ground. This is the economy that the Democrats created and Bush inherited. The Democrats complained that Bush and the Republicans didn't fix, "THEIR", screwups. To be fair, however, it's not as though Bush and the Republicans wanted to undo any of the trade agreements, or fix Gramm/Leach/Bliley. They did try to deal with Fannie and Freddie, but that was scuttled by Barney Frank and his boyfriend, who was an exec at Freddie.
