| Why would
you like to be elected? |
| As a nation, we have lost thousands of men and women in wars we have not finished - Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, etc. We must have individuals in office that can negotiate with the problems of the nation and the world. I have a grandson now serving in the Army who was in Iraq, another serving in the Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant and one now in Korea. Our young men and women are doing their part, but our elected officials are not doing their part. We need to give every child a chance to receive a good education, have a job, buy a home and receive proper medical and dental attention for all in the family. |
| What
would you like to accomplish if elected? |
| I would improve the climate in Ohio for jobs, education and lower taxes. I would encourage the end of the war in Iraq. It's an insult to the people of Ohio to have school systems that graduate only 38% of their students. President Bush wants to send us to the moon and Mars, but first we must educate the students of the United States. I would put the steel tariffs back into affect. We allow steel to be brought into the United States, but not prescription drugs. We have terror alerts, but we do not stop illegal drugs. Thousands of our young men and women are serving time in prisons because of drugs. I would protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, make laws against off-shore corporations and off-shore banking to protect our workers and stop the flood of jobs going overseas. |
| How do
you think Internet technology will impact government services? |
| Internet technology has not only impacted government, but has impacted education. The future is today with the internet. |
| What
one bit of information do people not normally know about you? |
| That I know every section of Lorain County and I know the needs of the people. My children have attended public schools in Lorain Southview, Whittier and Homewood when we lived on Tacoma Avenue. When we moved to Grafton our children attended Midview Schools. Our grandchildren attended Ely and Pospect Elementary, Elyria High School, Keystone and Midview High School. Our children also attended Ohio State, Kent State, Case Western Reserve and Lorain County Community College. |
