Family:
My husband David, a Lorain Firefighter, and I have been happily married for 9 years. We have 3 beautiful children, Megan who is 8, Jenna who is 6 and Jacob who is 4. All 3 of my children attend St. Anthony's School.

Why would you like to be elected?
This election is very important to me. I still believe that the possibilities for Lorain are endless. We have too many people choosing to leave Lorain. I would like to bring a new perspective to Lorain City Council. I am ready to fight for Lorain and the citizens of the First Ward. We seem to be forgotten when it comes to development.

I would like to be elected to have the opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to me. I will have Town Hall meetings once a month for the Citizens of the First Ward to meet in an informal way to discuss problems, ideas and current events.

What would you like to accomplish if elected?
With the help of the next administration and City Council, I would like to accomplish the daunting task of bringing jobs to Lorain. The most important issue facing Lorain is gainful employment. We need to provide our citizens with employment opportunities that will pay a living wage.

I would also like to strengthen the relationship between our safety forces and the Administration and City Council. I would like to see a better working relationship with all of our City Departments.

I would like to be a part of development of the Industrial Park. I want to make sure that we raise our standards and not build for the sake of building and bring in business that will stay in Lorain and also help to increase our property value.

How do you think Internet technology will impact government services?
The internet has provided an avenue for communication. I believe that the city would benefit by using the internet more, such as direct deposit payroll for all departments. This would alleviate some costs and paperwork. If I am elected I will provide a website for the First Ward that will include my information and any updates concerning the First Ward and Lorain.

What one bit of information do people not normally know about you?
The one bit of information that people do not normally know about me is that we are a union proud family from the UAW to the IAFF!
