|
| Why would
you like to be elected? |
| I have strong beliefs that my interest in the community, my passion to help others, and my knowledge of this region will benefit my neighbors in the 4th Ward, as well as, the community at large. Not only do I have a personal understanding of the workings of local government, but I am professionally educated in this area too. |
| What
would you like to accomplish if elected? |
Amherst is diverse and so are the priorities of residents. The general fund revenues are a significant indicator of the level of services our constituency receives and thus I will ensure that we operate efficiently to stretch our tax dollars. Businesses impact the general fund and with many small businesses in Ward 4, I will work to create an atmosphere where existing businesses can expand and new businesses can locate within designated areas. Other concerns to be addressed are needed street repairs and regulating new residential construction.

| How do
you think Internet technology will impact government services? |
| Internet technology will impact government services positively by providing access to public information 24/7; easing the collection of utility, taxes, and other fees through electronic payments; and providing another means of communication to link residents to public officials. |
| What
one bit of information do people not normally know about you? |
| My hobby is maintaining a 125-gallon fresh water aquarium. |
