Profile) Civic Chorale, Collegiate Chorale and Civic Orchestra will present the 34th Annual Masterworks Concert, "Eternal Light," at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 9 in the Stocker Arts Center Theatre under the direction of Nancy Davis, director of choral music performance at LCCC.
The combined choirs will perform "Lux Aurumque" by Whitacre, "O Nata Lux" by Lauridsen, "Heavenly Light" by Wilhousky, "Song for Athene" by Tavener, "How Blest Are They" by Tchaikovsky, and "Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal" arranged by Alice Parker. The featured masterwork, Rutter's Requiem, will be performed by soprano soloist, Janine Porter, chorus and orchestra. The Requiem includes a beautiful setting of the 23rd Psalm.
General admission tickets are $8 and may be purchased by calling the Stocker Center box office at (440) 366-4040 or online. Discounts are available for groups.
