Whitney Road Bridge Replacement

4/17/13 -- Ken Carney – Lorain County Engineer announced today that the contract for the replacement of the Whitney Road Bridge #0214 located just east of SR 58 in Pittsfield Township was awarded to Denes Concrete of Wellington, Ohio in the amount of $296,589.50. The Engineer’s estimate was $355,000.00.

Oberlin Avenue Resurfacing and Waterline Replacement

3/18/13 -- Lorain County Engineer, Ken Carney, announced the start of the Oberlin Avenue Resurfacing and Waterline Replacement project, from West 30th Street to West Erie Avenue in the City of Lorain. Construction will begin on March 18th, with work on the water mains. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.

Oberlin Road Bridge Replacement

5/9/12 -- Ken Carney, Lorain County Engneer announced today that the contract for the replacement of the Oberlin Road Bridge #0044 located 1/4 mile south of SR 511 in the City of Oberlin/New Russia Township was awarded to Herk Excavating of Vermilion, Ohio in the amount of $363,259.00. The Engineer's estimate was $354,000.00
