About Black River Astronomical Society
The astronomy club presents free astronomical programs at the Carlisle Visitor Center at 7 PM on the first Wednesday of each month. In addition we host "Star Parties" at least twice/month at the Nielson Observatory at the Carlisle Reservation Metropark site on Diagonal Road.
During the summer months we travel around to different Metroparks in Lorain County and offer daytime viewing of our Sun.
The Black River Astronomical Society has been actively bringing astronomy to Lorain County residents since 1949.
