The club presents free astronomical programs at the Carlisle Visitor Center at 7 PM on the first Wednesday of each month. In addition we host "Star Parties" at least twice/month at the Nielson Observatory at the Metropark on Diagonal Road.

The Black River Astronomical Society has been actively bringing astronomy to Lorain County residents since 1949.
