
Lorain County Community College - Lorain County Community College's Division of Engineering Technologies, located in the Nord Advanced Technologies Center, offers a wide variety of educational, training, and skills upgrading programs and courses in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Associate of Applied Science degrees in Manufacturing Engineering Technology are available in Computer Aided Machining, Mechanical Design, Plastic Processing and Quality Assurance. Certificate programs include Certified metalworking Technology, Computer Aided Design Operator, Computer Aided Machining Operator and quality Control. A+ Certification training in computer maintenance and networking can lead to a career as a computer repair professional or be applied towards several Associate of Applied Science degrees in Electronic Engineering Technology. Non-credit training through the Nord ATC is available in Programmable Logic Control systems (PLCs), PLC Interfacing, Machining Basics, and SmartCAM software and more. Customized training in specific applications can also be developed to meet the needs of Business & Industry through the Nord ATC.
