The Council for Education in Metalworking Technologies, CEMT, is a partnership of Lorain County business and education leaders formed in 1989. Their goals include:

• Increasing the pool of skilled metalworking people in Lorain County
• Increasing the image of metalworking
• Promoting opportunities available in the metalworking industry; and
• Improving metalworking training and education in Lorain County
