| Why are you running for public office? |
| I think we need strong leadership, and I feel I have the tenacity required to lead. I will not bow down to what the majority of politician want but represent the people and what is best for them. |
| What would you like to accomplish if elected or if re-elected? |
| To cut spending at city hall. To get rid of three of the four assistant mayors. The city can't afford them at $70,000 a pop plus benefits. To reverse the illegal borrowing of money from the water department that props up the city budget and force elected officials to legally balance the budget. This would end the ever rising water rates.
To ask for accountability from a newly created economic development department to give real proof they are trying to bring jobs in and hold them accountable by expecting they use real proven strategies for job growth. And provide statistics and proof they are doing something. No more lip service. |
| In what ways can web, mobile and social technology be used in the government sector? |
| If the city used it, it would be invaluable. Recently the city website advertised a fish fry that was from years ago. The city website should be a cheerleader for the city. It's a static site that is not current. |

one bit of information do people not normally know about you? |
| Much of the web design work I do is to help small business and non profits and I provide my assitance for free or a very low fee, in many cases. When groups don't have a lot of money I try and find the free solutions for them. It's my way of giving back |
