Soul to Sole Program
honored by BGCA Midwest Region
The Soul to Sole Program of the Boys &
Girls Clubs of Lorain County was honored recently by receiving the
Midwest Region Area Council Award for Outstanding Program for 2007.
Soul to Sole, founded and directed by Mrs. Lori Campana, provides shoes
to children from families with minimal financial resources. It is
estimated that more than 2,000 pairs of Starbury shoes have been
distributed since the programs beginning.
Financial support for Soul to Sole has come
from Lorain, Erie and Cuyahoga counties, and it is hoped that the
program will be replicated by other Boys & Girls Clubs around the
nation.
Congratulations to Mrs. Campana and the Soul to Sole program!
