9/25 -- Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney (Website | Profile) announced the West Ridge Road closure due to a Railroad crossing repair in Elyria Township will begin on Sept. 29, 2009 and end on Oct. 9, 2009. Limits of construction are just North of State Route 113 Detour signs will be posted. Your cooperation during construction is greatly appreciated.

7/3 -- Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney (Website | Profile) announced the Indian Hollow Road culvert replacement in LaGrange Township will begin 8 a.m. on July 6, 2009 and end 5 p.m. on July 17, 2009. Indian Hollow Road will be closed from Foster Road to Webster Road. Detour signs will be posted. Your cooperation during construction is greatly appreciated.

Air Quality Advisory Extended
9/3 -- The Air Quality Advisory has been extended for the counties of Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit for Thursday, September 4, 2008. Despite partly cloudy skies limiting some ozone formation, high humidity and pollutant carryover from previous days will aid fine particle production, leading to "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" AQI levels. If you are in the "Sensitive Groups" category of children, the elderly, and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity on Thursday. Full Story

7/26 -- An Air Quality Advisory has been forecasted for the counties of Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit for the weekend, July 26-27, 2008. Fine particle pollution will build this weekend in tandem with heat, haze, and humidity. Although Saturday will see some thunderstorms, they are not expected to clear the air sufficiently. Consequently, air pollution may linger through Sunday when a cold front will slowly move through. Full Story
