 Mark R. Stewart, Lorain County Auditor has initiated a sales review
program for Lorain County. Each time a property with a structure is transferred,
an actual field inspection is done.
An appraisal inspector is asked to visit the property and verify the
information. The structure is measured and all information gathered is compared
to the information already available at the Auditor's Office.
The collected data is presented to the sales review clerk. The changes
are noted and the sales review computer file is updated. The Auditor is
in the process of building a computerized sales file which consists of
a scanned picture and related information regarding the property. This system
has proven to be a dependable source in the ongoing pursuit for accurate
information.
