Mandatory
for all Coaches, Players & Parents
The
first hour is very important for the parent to attend. The Advance Directors
will take
advantage
to Explain what is expected of the Coaches, Parents & Players during the
season.
After
the first hour, the parents are more then welcome to leave and come back
for
your daughter.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each year before
the JO Season goes into full swing, generally in February, the Advance Coaches
& Staff decided that it was important to do a couple of things during the
season that would be fun for the Athletes and beneficial for the parents and
Coaches. We made it a tradition that this would be a Mandatory Day for
the All Players, Parents and Staff. Advance will secure a facility for a
minimum of 4 hours where the whole program (all teams) are requested to
participate.
Every year new
young ladies join our program that may not know anyone on their team or in the
program. This day is to help get those young ladies acclimated to their
new teammates and the program as a whole. Since it is a stress free
environment, it gives the girls plenty of time to have fun, laugh and just
enjoy them selves. Our goal here it to make it a more family environment
instead of just assigning teams and then your off to practice and
tournaments. It also gives girls who may not have a real sibling the opportunity
to talk, enjoy and have someone to cheer for in the future. We feel that
this is an integral part of making our program stronger and more desirable to
be affiliated with. The Directors will secretly assign all the Players a
"Big Sister" or "Little Sister" according to teams.
They will be announce and introduced on "Little Sister Day".
Advance will also
supply a large cake, coffee, chips & sodas, plates and utensils for
everyone. We (Advance) do not want to make this a day where the parents
feel pressured to bring anything other then themselves. However; each
year we get multiple requests from parents that want to contribute
something. If you're one of those kind parents that like to bake or
cook, then feel free to bring a dish or plate, a favorite dip, etc.
Please, DO NOT try to bake for an entire group of 100 people. Make your
dish for a small moderate group. Even not trying, we end up with a huge
buffet full of wonderful food that cannot possible be eaten. Yes, its true,
even with 100 active young ladies, we have chocolates and goodies left over.
All athletes are
to come in their practice jerseys and practice attire, If a player has a
sibling('s), feel free to bring them along and they can participate as well..
(bring knee pads & shorts)
