Advance Cost & Fees

ALL TRYOUTS:    A Tryout Fee of $10:00 is to cover gym rental and insurance costs to 

                                      determine player selections for the Advance Volleyball JO (Club) Teams.

      Note:  If Advance has multiple Tryout dates and a player is NOT asked to participate on a team 

       during the first tryout date, that player is welcome to attend any other Advance tryout.  Also; if

        our directors / coaches should ask a player to return to our next tryout to re-evaluate

        them, again no additional cost is assessed.

GENERAL PLAYER SELECTION:

       If you have been selected to play for the Advance Program.  All Advance Rules must be 

       agreed upon by Parents & Athletes before official commitment.   You will then be given a contract

       that you have up to and no more then 10 days to make an official commitment.  An official

       commitment my be made by e-mail, or via phone call or signed Player's Contract handed or

       mailed to our Advance Management.

     **NEW ** Player Selection process:

       If the ADVANCE directors feel they have enough quality players tryout in a division to house a 

       "NATIONAL TEAM".   If you receive a National Team Invitation & accept the National offer, then

       like the Directors, the athlete will have to wait with Advance for the results of at least 8 invited

       National Players.   When Advance receives a minimum of 8 National Invites that commit. Then 

       and only then will Advance commit to a national team.  NOTE:  If the number of players fall 

       below eight players committing to a national team.  Then any player waiting will default and  

       be placed on a club team within that same division.  However to be fair, Advance will offer the

       players that did commit some alternative options just in case the National team falls thru.

    Options if you are selected for a National Team:

     During tryouts, If you have been selected to play for one of our "NATIONAL TEAMS": then you

       have a couple of options.  NO. 1 Option)  You can accept the National Team offer that will be a

       longer and more committed season (time & cost), and you can read about the differences on the

      "Cost & Fees" and "Tryouts" buttons on the top of the page.  NO. 2 Option)  After evaluating the

       commitment & cost of a National Team and it is to much of a commitment, the player may opt for

       the Club or Regional team of the same age group.  NO. 3 Option)  The parents may still want the

       Regional Commitment instead of the National team commitment.  If this is the case they will have

       the option to check with the directors to see if their athlete is strong enough to play up an Age

       Group (note; this option is only decided by parents and directors).  Final Option)  If the parents feel that 

       their player is only a  National player and they will not accept one of the 1st three options or if 

       not enough players commit to a National team to have one in their age group.  They can consult

       with the directors and be released to go try and play for another club. 

       (again this has to be passed by director and parents).

 ANNUAL "12 & Under TEAMS" COST FOR ADVANCE:       

         Advance (JO) Regional Team Fees will be $600.00

 ANNUAL "CLUB (Regional) TEAMS" COST FOR ADVANCE:       

         Advance (JO) Regional Team Fees will be $650.00

 ANNUAL "Open (National) TEAMS" COST FOR ADVANCE:       

         Advance (JO) National Team Fees will be $1,200.00

 $$  FEES are DUE:  

here will be two policy/procedural changes for the 2008 Advance JO Volleyball season. As always we feel it is important to let everyone know up front so they can make an informed decision when considering Advance VBC for their JO experience.

No. 1     All JO fees MUST be PAID IN FULL on or before the first practice for that team. No practice gear, uniforms, bags or other equipment will be issued to any player that owes a balance of their fees. The player will be ineligible to participate in PRACTICES as well as tournaments until the fee is paid in full.

No.2    All issued equipment to be returned to Advance VBC i.e. tournament jerseys, sweats/warm-ups will be collected by team coaches at the OVR Regional tournament upon the completion of play. You MUST plan on bringing a change of clothes to facilitate this action and no other option is available. Any team member NOT able to participate in this tournament is required to turn in their equipment at the last attended practice or tournament. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Please keep in mind that ANY financial gain received from club volleyball is a direct violation of the OHSAA rules regarding eligibility for High School participation. The costs of our uniforms, sweats and unpaid fees EXCEEDS the financial limit placed on student athletes according to OHSAA. Students that receive gifts or gain in excess of the limit may become ineligible to participate in the next years High School season. If the violation is caught AFTER participation in their High School the entire program may be penalized.

•  1st Payment:  We ask that half of the Club fee be paid with the Signing of the Player's Contract, 10 days after the player's tryout or no later then our Club Meeting & Uniform Fitting which will be End of November or the 1st week of December.

  • $300.00 for any player 12s & Under (Club) Teams 

  • $325.00 for any player Making the Regional (Club) Teams 

  • $600.00 for any player Making the National (Open) Teams 

•  2nd Payment:  The BALANCE of the Club fee is due after the holidays and should be paid in full prior to and/or by January 15th, 2007.

  • $300.00 for any player 12s & Under (Club) Teams 

  • $325.00 for any player Making the Regional (Club) Teams 

  • $600.00 for any player Making the National (Open) Teams

"REGIONAL" Team Fees Cover:     

              A Min Total of 8 Tournaments consisting of:

• Minimum of 7 Local Tournaments Fees (Min. $135.00 / $160.00 per tournament)

• Maximum of a 2 hour or less travel time for each tournament.  (these 7 tournaments don't include the OVR Tournament).  Note:  because of different locations each year and providing our teams with the better tournaments, there may be a time where we have to expand over our 2 hour drive time to accommodate our 8 Tournament requirements.

• Tourney #8 includes OVR (Regional Tournament) registration Fee for $250.00

• All players will receive - 2 Advance Practice T-Shirts with their names on them

• Covers Facility Rental - TOP NOTCH Facilities for 2 practices a week 

• Players individual Registration fee for the OVR ($50.00 per player)

• Standard Team Equipment (Balls, Medical Kit, Ball Carts, etc..)

• Team Uniforms (2 Jerseys per Player), must return at end of season.

• Annual Coaches Registration & Certification Fees & Background Check Fees ($100.00)

• Annual Coaches Salaries

• Fees also covers the Coaches Travel and housing for any tournaments that are over night.

• Player Gym Bag - players keep

• For 12 & Under & 13s teams,  Advance will purchase full sweats for the players to keep

• Advance will supply Full Warm-ups (Sweat Pants & Jackets) for all athletes that

                                 must be handed back at end of season.

"NATIONAL" Team Fees Cover:  

              A Total of 8 possibly more Tournaments consisting of:

• Minimum of 5 Local Tournaments Fees (Min. $135.00 / $160.00 per tournament)

• Sometimes because the lack of tournaments in the 2 hour radius we will have to venture well into the 3 and 3 1/2 hour drive to meet our min of 8 tournament Requirements.

• We will try to play 2 power tournaments Fees (Min. $320.00 / $500.00 per tournament) Note:  these tournaments will be within 2-3 1/2 hours drive time but may be a 2 day tournament with in the region.  (All players must pick up their own food and housing)

• Includes 2 out of State Tournaments Fees (Min. $450.00-$600.00 / $900.00 per tournament) Note:  these tournaments are a  2-day & sometimes 3-day tournament.  We will be able to drive to one tournament for sure, however; we may have to take a plane for the other  (All players must pick up their own traveling expenses, food and housing) 

• Tourney #8 includes OVR (Regional Tournament) registration Fee for $250.00

• All players will receive - 2 Advance Practice T-Shirts with their names on them

• Covers Facility Rental - TOP NOTCH Facilities for 2 practices a week Note:  National Teams start over a month prior to Regional Teams Practices and tournaments.  The extra costs also goes into extra rentals for over a month.  During this time we may only have 1 practice a week until February to where we will go to 2 days a week.
