Is the Advance Training Program only for people who reside in the City of Elyria?

NO!   Advance VB Training is for any athlete in the 4th through 12th grade and for any athlete of any Junior High or High School.  We are not limited to just Elyria.  We have had players participating from Lorain, Parma, Cleveland Area, as far south as Medina, south of Wellington and reaching west of Vermilion.

Our daughter has already been to one of your classes, is this going to be the same as last

session and will it be beneficial?

ALWAYS!  The game of volleyball is a very technical oriented game.  With that said,

the only way to correct bad habits or just improve in the game of volleyball, is

repetition.  We as a staff, evaluate your daughter's talent at the time she walks into

the door and she is continuously monitored for improvement.  Our program is driven

off the 5 basic skills;  Hitting, Passing, Serving, Blocking and Court movement.

Our drills are selected for the level of skill that the group posses.  They can be very

challenging to do them correctly, but the bottom line is, no matter how skilled the

athlete, the basics and repetition is not only the basis of a champion, it is the core of

improvement.  If you or your daughter feel they are above any of our training, please

         stay home.

Will the Advance Training Program affect my CYO, High School or JO eligibility?

NO!   Advance will in no way interfere with CYO, OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Assoc.)  or JO eligibility.

Does an Athlete have to complete a Session before going into any other Advance Session, Team Play or JO (Club) programs ?

NO!   Any athlete may register for any program.  Our programs are progressive according to ability, the same techniques are taught and stressed during each Session.

May an Athlete sign up for both the Special Hitter's Session and the Special Setter's

    Session?

POSSIBLY!   In the past we have had these two programs at the same time slot, however, if our volume of participants dictate two different time slots we will consider making that available.

  Is Advance a volleyball “club”?

NO!   this training program is solely for individual improvement. Becoming an elite player requires hundreds of repetitions of the various skills. Unfortunately team play does NOT give the athlete these much needed repetitions. We feel that young players should play less and train more. Remember, College Coaches recruit highly skilled athletes, NOT good teams.

NEW!   Our program we now offer a Juniors Club Teams that will participate in the USVBA Juniors Organization and tournaments.  On our main menu hit the [ JO Club ] Button to go to our new website just for our JO Club Program.

Can boys participate in your Advance Volleyball Program?

YES  Currently, all of our sessions are designed for technical and individual improvement.  Any one participant in the program will not impede or interfere with another participants progress, so Advance has no reason at this time to segregate gender in our training sessions.

As a parent, do I have to stay at the facility during each training session ?

NO!   Advance will have a check in and check out process for each session. Whom ever brings the athletes must sign them in and out. If someone different will be picking them up, that persons name MUST be known at sign IN. This way our instructors know that the athletes are in the proper hands.

As a parent, may I stay and watch training sessions ?

YES!   A parent is more then welcome to stay and watch at the facility until practice is over.
